YAMADA KOGYOSHO
“Yamada Kogyosho” is a well-known manufacturer among chefs for hammered iron woks and frying pans. Their special hammering technique makes the iron pans sturdy and functional. KAMA-ASA handles variety of iron woks and pans made by Yamada Kogyosho. All pans we sell do not have anti-rust wax coating on and customers do not need to burn the wax coating before first time use.

Manufacturing process
The pans are crafted using the hammering method, where a cut iron sheet is shaped into the form of a pan by hammered thousands of times with a special machine.
Pots crafted through thousands of hammer strikes become more robust as the metal particles are compacted. These pots have a unique, fine texture on their surface, distinctive to the hammering method, and they become more seasoned with oil over continued use.
The areas where the hammer strikes are finely adjusted with the skilled expertise of artisans, resulting in the distinctive pot surface that is characteristic of Yamada Kogyosho.
