【HIMENO SAKU】

Nowadays, there are only a few people who manufacture hand hammered pots in Japan.
“Himeno saku” has been manufacturing hand hammered pots in Osaka since 1924. Each pot is elaborately hand hammered by Hisakazu Himeno, who is the 3rd generation craftsman. His works are beloved by chefs and home cooks for its durability and function. Aluminum and copper is a rather soft metal though can be sturdy by hammering.
The hammering process increases the surface area and let the heat transfer evenly. The thick metal can gently transfer heat and prevents the food from burning.

【YUKIHIRA PAN】

Yukihira pan is a traditional Japanese style pan with a single handle. It can be used for various cooking such as soup, boiling, simmering and making sauces.
You can choose the type of spout on the pan. If you hold the pan with your left hand, a pan with a spout on “right side” is recommendable. If you hold the pan with your right hand, a pan with a spout on “left side” is recommendable.
15cm and 19.5cm pans have spouts on both sides.

【YATTOKO PAN】

Yattoko pan is a traditional Japanese style pan without a handle. Since it does not have a handle, it is convenient to use when cooking with more than 3 pans on the stovetop. It can also be used as a salad bowl.
It is suitable for various cooking such as soup, boiling, simmering and making sauces.
You would need a separately sold handle to use the pan. “Yattoko holder” is a traditional style handle for yattoko pans. The “L-shaped pan gripper” is a modern type of handle, which you can hold it like general pans.

【DANTSUKI POT】

Dantsuki pot is a traditional Japanese style pot with a level difference. It is suitable for boiling and simmering large amount of ingredients. You can prevent boiling over by cooking below the level difference. An aluminum lid is sold separately.
It can be used along with a separately sold steaming basket.

【HANZUNDO POT】

Hanzundo pot has a slightly rounded shape to make the heat transfer evenly. The inclusive aluminum lid would be useful when simmering soups and stews.

【HAKKAKU POT】

“Hakkaku” means octagonal in Japanese and is considered as an auspicious shape. This beautiful pot would be perfect for cooking hot pots and Shabu-shabu at the table.
