Wooden spatula is unlikely to damage the surface of pans and Ohitsu (rice jar). This quality spatula is made by Miyajima Kougei, which has been manufacturing spatulas in Hiroshima from 1890.
It is made of hard durable cherry blossom and neatly finished by the hands of craftsman.
