A double-edged blade made of Aogami No.1 carbon steel. Aogami No.1 steel is one of the hardest carbon steel and has long lasting sharpness. Due to its hardness, it is likely to chip and needs certain skill for sharpening compared to other steels.
We handle Aogami blades made by skilled blacksmith in Sakai, Osaka. The neat annealing procedure makes the blade uniformed and the feeling of sharpening is unlikely to change even after the knife is worn out. The octagonal handle is made of magnolia wood and water buffalo horn.
-Carbon steel knives can easily rust and requires care. Please wipe the blade every time after you cut.
-NOT dishwasher safe
-To prevent rust, thoroughly wipe the knife after washing.
- Apply a thin layer of oil on the blade before storing to protect it from humidity and make it more rust resistant.

Engrave your name or message in Kanji or Katakana. Font style cannot be changed. Please inquire from the link below "ENGRAVE" for engraving in Japanese. We cannot accept Japanese engraving without inquiring.
*There is a limit to the number of characters depending on the knife and place of engraving.
