[Finishing stone]
The finishing stone is used after the middle stone for removing the burr and making the blade edge sharper and smoother. The sharpness of blade will last longer when using a finishing stone. It is especially effective for single bevel carbon steel knives. Since finishing stone is meant for polishing the blade, the blade does not need to be sharpened on the stone as many times as on the rough stone and the middle stone.
